If in doubt, ask the PP-ers...
Most regulars probably know that I have a wee website about finding old hotels, inns and other such places to stay. Anyhoo, I've started cobbling together a section on holiday cottages, but because there are loads of them, I'm keeping it to any built up to 1699 (i.e pre-18th century) for a degree of uniqueness.
I'm filling each regional page gradually, but there are one or two that need more filling than others (North East England, East Midlands & Derbyshire, etc). So, any pointers gratefully received as always. And the older the better.
I'd prefer to avoid barn conversions (unless they're drop-dead gorgeous) as it seems that many have fallen prey to that 21st century tendency to add a "contemporary twist" - i.e. lots of glass.
The section is here to give an idea of what I've added already... http://www.nightsinthepast.com/period_self_catering_properties.html
