My young English girlfriend, now my old wife, found it such a mouthfull to pronounce my real Italian name the she bastardised it from " Emiddio" to " Middi".

I have been stuck with it ever since, it has appeared on few legal documents as well therefore making them illegal.

Who cares as long as it is "me" that they are refering to

Shame on my wife, she made a mockery of baptism.

........As to what has happened to the other "d" , I haven,t a clue.

Maybe it has something to do with me registering under "middi" and "midi" originally, I was having trouble being accepted on the site.

Even computers can't make their mind up about my name either.
