Period Music Festival

Hi everyone, just a quick mention for a folk festival that a buddy of mine told me about, happening on the August Bank Holiday Weekend, 24th, 25th and 26th August, at Somerleyton Estate. http://www.folkeast.co.uk/

Looks like a beautiful venue, very PPUK, and probably worth a visit even if not for the festival. Sadly I'm not going to be able to attend, but I know a lot of people here are in that part of the country and might enjoy.

Somerleyton is a a very beautiful house. The tour is good, you get to see a lot of now endangered animals stuffed - polar bears IIRC. The family have a carpet manufacturing connection so you get to see some amazing examples but will be required to put plastic overshoes on and perhaps remove high heels (if they're your thing).
The house also has the maze used in the old Scottish Widows TV ads.

Ooh, that's going on the list of must-visits then. What an interesting looking place.

I'd enjoy the folk festival but have another engagement unfortunately -maybe next year.
