Period Family Entertainment

Please don't send the police to check if I'm dead behind the fromt door over the next week - we're cutting all electrical contact with the outside world for a week.

No TV
No radio
No mobile phone, Blackberry or texts
No computers, internet or email.
No iPods or other gadgetry.

Just family conversation, activities, reading, planning, cooking, model-making, games and our own entertainment - all together.

I suggested it a week ago in the Family Meeting as a joke and a threat to the boys. Strangely, everyone agreed.

I can't wait now! Lockdown starts at midnight for a week - to be extended if we wish.

Sadly, that nice Mr Osborne requires us to attend the daily grindstone to earn tax to keep the monolithic charabanc afloat during the days, but the evenings will be all ours. One or two nights I'm going to suggest we use no electrickery at all - just candles. There Biff - bet you never expected me to be at the forefront of extinguishing the lights! 8)
