How is everyone coping with DEFRA's decision to keep ALL (including back yard) chickens,turkeys,ducks etc under lockdown due to the Avian flu outbreak?

Not too fussed, as I'm not in the habit of talking them for walks to be honest.... :lol:
Seriously though we have yet to get round to getting sorted for chickens in this place, so thankfully not affected. Ours have a large fenced off run at the far end of the garden and when the outbreak occurred we borrowed a 'surplus to requirement' small framed run from a neighbour so although the hens can get some fresh air there is 2 layers of netting between them and the wild birds. The worms in the now unused run area are having a field day chucking earth about and some greenery has started to reappear too. On the plus side this has made my girls very quiet as they are normally a noisy lot and we only have 3!
