Aye - but apparently the area needs bigger houses. And those in charge of Pathfinders need to find work for their idle hands, and big housebuilders need to keep making millions.
Will was pretty shocked, but appreciative of northern hospitality.
Richmond Station was a well done and obviously well used resource now. The chips were what someone called railway sleepers and the size of 4 chips together which is why I onlt got 5 with my small fish and spoonfull of peas so I don't advise the food, but the brewery does an excellent beer (obviously called Richmond Station Beer) which can be bought at the mini-micro brewery. My bag was a fair bit heavier when I left....
It has been altered to cafe/bar, cinema, a few shops, brewery, lovely ice cream outlet etc well although picky me was a bit unsure about the upper platform cutting across the windows. The platform is glassed in so isn't too intrusive but still I think it could have been done better.
The station houses on the Richmond branch are gorgeous - one is owned by an elderly lady who allowed photography so long as we don't publish the pics. I can understand why. It's in a bad state - rotting windows and overgrown garden and is probably poor inside too, but someone will make a bomb from it when she finally leaves.
We went passed St Trinian's Hall (honest) but the only people visible were elderly with zimmer frames .....
