Hi I have a parquet floor laid on earth which I have repared in places. I am about to hire a sander but wondered if anyone has any advice on what protection/final finish I can use to protect the floor but ensuring it remains breathable. Any tips please.
I used the Bona hard wax oil because I have dogs and they would have scratched lacquer to bits. Lots of gaps still so breathability not a problem. Not sure how damp your floor is but I found that in order to level off floor had to sand down a fair bit on some areas which meant that some tiles went down to a rotten layer, just be careful how hard you sand!
