We're just back from a week in the Ancient House in Clare, and I'm rather fond of timber frames and pargeting at the moment....

It's lovely, as indeed are many of those Saffron Walden houses.

Are you sure, ....... they are fantastic houses. I've never been in that one, but just to the left of the one in the picture used to be a fantastic, old, dusty, dark, musty smelling secondhand bookshop. That was 30+ years ago though, does anybody know if it's still there?
