Hi
We are renovating a grade 2 listed property. whilst the lime and lath walls appear solid, if not even, they have been wallpapered many times and suffer from nicotene stains.
Rather than remove the wallpaper, which could damage the plaster. Does anyone know how Heritage officers generally respond to the idea of installing panelling over the existing walls?
Related to that, we are also applying to relocate the bathroom, again we are thining of implementing a timber subframe to tile over to avoid tiling the walls, again any experience on how this is viewed by Heritage officers.
thanks
