Hello
I am new to the forum, we have just moved into a 300-400 year old stone cottage, so I have been looking on this site for advice and inspiration!
We have a number of leaded lights on the front of the house which all need some repair work doing to them, this will be taking place soon. Afterwards we will need to paint the window frames, they are currently black, but I would like to add a little colour. BUT, I want to keep them traditional/in keeping with the style and age of the house. We have absolutely no history of the house, other than the part on the right of the house was probably a barn, but is now our kitchen!
Can anyone advise me on what a traditional colour for this sort of house would be? Or should I keep to the black? Or can anyone recommend any books where I might be able to find out? There is a lovely thatch a few doors down with beautiful sage green frames, although they are not leaded.
Thank you in advance!
