Hello all. Please humour me. I am planning to paint the bay window of my house and i don't want to go down the linseed route as i am painting outside and want the paint to dry in a reasonable time. I bought some little green oil based eggshell and have painted a couple of windows on the back north facing side of the house with it, and it has started to peel off the putty after only a year. One window left in Dulux undercoat only has fared well so I plan to use Dulux. However I went to my local dulux shop and I realise they don't make solvent based satin paint, however, they make something called ultimate opaque, which they describe as an opaque woodstain (which sounds like paint to me). This doesn't need a coloured undercoat, just a wood preserving primer, which is pretty much colourless. Has anyone got experience of this, or should I just buy gloss!!
P. S. Sikkens Rubbol is also described as an opaque woodstain.
