I have a very large brick Mullion window and am confused as to how to finish it. It was previously cement rendered, of which we've removed and have replaced the glass with small oak casements. I am in two minds as to either:
a) Re-point in a lime mortar and leave exposed
b) Lime render to match the majority of the house (some of the ground floor is red brick)
Has anyone seen a window like this on a Norfolk farmhouse before and if so, how would it generally (or traditionally) be finished, or what is the general consensus?
(the black parts are a breathable membrane which is about to be rendered!)
