I have read though all of the recent posts regarding floors, and think I have come up with a sensible approach for my bedroom floor.
The current flooring is assumed to be original, and is certainly still in a serviceable condition. A few of the boards have split but can be repaired for replaced without too much hassle.
Now, I am working on the assumption that I should do something with the floor, in order to protect it and maintain its condition. Having read many previous posts, it sound as though it would be sensible to keep it simple, avoid sanding and give it a couple of coats of was oil. (I have a tin of Osmo that I used for skirting.)
Does this sound sensible, or should I looking for something more elaborate?
