Hi all, great forum. You all kept me up till 4am reading through the posts. The hidden bath cracked me up!
Anyway, I have been looking at a cottage in Scotland (1900's) which is about five hundred yards from an old farm house and its associated buildings. Its actually two semi-detached cottages being sold as one. The estate that sold off the cottages also sold the farm house and barns. Having done some research I have found out that the farm house has planning permission for a ten house development and the cottage is being sold by the same people that submitted the planning application. My question is, what effect will this have on the value of the cottage? I know the road and its junction to the main road are being heavily modified to allow better access and a footpath and bus stop were required for the planning application to go through.
