I'd guess at 1830 and 1910 (the list description - 1972 - describes it as early 19th century, modern extension at rear!)

No, it's not one of those. The house I'm thinking of isn't nearly as interesting. It's about half-way down on the left and has a lot of strange dormers and things, that seem to have been added piecemeal and haphazardly.

A bit manic, but at least it doesnt show from the front and spoil the symmetry, still the natural order is chaos ! Alittle live and let and all that :roll:

Whoops! Peppers looks like one of those buildings whose odd angles are vaguely unsettling. They never quite do what you think they're going to.

The outstanding example of this is the de Young Museum, in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. Just when you think you've got it visually sorted out, it pulls another trick:-
