Odd sizes of cast iron pipe - a recommendation!

The title says it all really.......

I've a bay window roof that drains via a smaller than usual downpipe. The bottom section is the original 1899 cast iron, higher up it's been replaced with cast aluminium at some point, which looks fine.

What I really need is an offset bend (offset of around 70mm) - everyman and his dog sells cast iron and aluminium downpipes in 63/65 and 75mm diameters, anyone got any idea where you can obtain 50mm?

Somebody has obviously made it at some point since Victorian times since I have the aluminum sections - which, typically, have no makers mark on them!

Thanks Biff, I haven't come across them before, I'll ask them. Their website only shows 2.5" (65mm), 3" (75mm) and 4" (100mm) though - which is the problem I'm having everywhere!

If the worst comes to the worst I can get 2" plastic pipe and do a short section in plastic. I'd rather not though.

Have you tried Rainguard, they do cast iron, aluminium and grp in period styles. The grp quote a 50 dia pipe which although not cast or aluminium would (I imagine) look better than plastic. We have just had a visit and quote from them and thier (aluminium) product is excellent.

I think I've got some! Where abouts are you and what exactly do you need in the way bends / downpipe?

If you have got some it would be fantastic! Ideally, I need an offset bend - with an offset of around 70mm - and a very short length of downpipe with a socket. I'm in Shropshire (near Telford), but am of course happy to pay postage.

Craig, Tuscan & Tuscanor (confusing, eh?) only do 2.5", alas.

Sue, I hadn't spotted that Rainguard do a 50mm GRP, thanks for that - I'll call them if need be. They only do it in their ornamental range so not sure if I'll get an offset bend, but it's worth a try....

Yes, they do it - 2" pipe offset bend, offset at 3", which is exactly what I need.

Quick update on this thread - Longbottoms sell all the odd sizes that no one else seems to any more. Everyone sells 2.5", 3" and 4" but Longbottoms also sell 2", 3.5" etc - which at one time were standard sizes - as well as being able to make one-offs like curved gutters.

Their service was really good - very quick delivery, even though it was close to Christmas, and the price was quite reasnoble as well. They also make all other manner of cast iron architectural items, as on the link in the thread above.
