Blimey! It's not every day you open the Sunday colour supp and find that someone you know is featured in glorious technicolour - looking very elegant, as I never manage to do!
Anyhow - it's an interesting article on the work being carried out by the Public Catalogue Foundation to record and catalogue all paintings housed in public collections in the country. This is a worthy cause and the work is being carried out without major public funding.
The North Yorkshire volume will be published in January, and the article features those photographing and compiling, Lucy Denton and Norman Taylor. They are pictured in Fairfax House in York - a splendid building which anyone who has visited can testify, designed by Carr and rescued from a period of decline as a cinema and dance hall. So it's not too off topic!
