Excellent. And their 'nine-pane door' looks very good value. A lot cheaper than the original we bought on eBay. Might end up with one for our shower room.
Thankyou.
Could you just give a quick spray of sand-blasting to ordinary glass?
We had our walls sandblasted recently, and had to board up the windows to stop over-spray wrecking the glass.
Sorry Dianne I meant to say that we have used Brume (other companies also sell it) obscure glass film (lots of different designs) bit fiddly to apply but stayed on really well, looked great and is also completely reversible and I would imagine much cheaper than the replacing glass in your sashes since I guess you would not want to do that if it was original.
We have obscure glass in the lower panes of the sash windows in our 2 lavatories and also in some of the panes of the tradesman's entrance door. There are various different designs, flowers etc. This glass appears to have been cast rather than etched as the design is raised from the background. We believe it to be original. Perhaps you could look for some reclaimed glass? I had a quick look on the net and it appears that Pilkington still make some designs that look very similar to the glass that I have. If you search for "Pilkington obscure glass" you can find the various designs. "Mayflower" looks almost identical to the glass in my tradesman's entrance. My house is Edwardian, about 1903.
