Not content with plastic windows, guttering, soffits, barge boards, etc. we now have the opportunity to fix plastic to our walls:

Now don't get me wrong, this product definitely has its place (commercial kitchens, hospitals) but when it gets picked up by the masses it will become the new pine cladding, especially when you look at the wood/marble effect versions!

Still it would get rid of all that horrible lime plaster wouldn't it.....

I suppose it's an updated version of that hardboard printed with wood effect or tiles, which used to be popular (well, it sold...) and Formica.

I can see its uses in bathrooms, but hope no-one resurrects rough-hewn stone 'feature fireplaces' complete with niches for ornaments and then clads the alcoves in this. Too, too retro for words, dahlings. And not at all chic.
