Here's our one remaining fireplace.
The chimney was successfully swept last year, and there is no reason I know of why it shouldn't work fine, but as an open fire novice I have a couple of questions.
It's a baxi fire, vented from underneath, and as you can see in the picture it has some sort of grate in it already. The main question is, do we need anything else, or do we just lay the fire directly onto this grate?
The second, more general question, is - is there anything special I need to know about running a baxi fire like this? I have a little experience of "ordinary" fires, but this is a new one for me.
