Not sure if allowed

I'm fairly new to the Board so I'm not sure if I'm allowed to ask this. We have taken off a set of shutters for restoration. Some of the hinges didn't survive. They are not standard sized and we are having terrible trouble trying to find replacements. The sizes are 3 and a quarter inch brass butt hinges and 2 and a half inch. Does anybody know anywhere in Suffolk or Norfolk we could try? We don't need many.
As I said I'm not sure if this kind of post is allowed but if it is I would be grateful for suggestions.

2.5-inch brass hinges are available here.

3.25-inch might be more difficult to find. Couldn't you use 3-inch and use small fillets of wood to fill the spare bits of rebate?

Thanks for your speedy replies and for the information which I will follow up. I'm increasingly doubtful (and doleful) that I'm going to get the 3.25" hinges so may end up using 3" and infilling. I'm going to give it another week or so though before I give up. Thanks again. Carrie

They have the most amazing range of unlikely things and if they don't stock what you need will usually order it for you.

If you're prepared to spread your search a bit wider there's also Solopark, near Cambridge. It's one of the biggest reclamation yards in the country. I haven't been there for years, so I don't know how smart they've got - it might be worth giving them a call before you travel.
