Oh that's dreadful! I've seen the pictures which are starting to circulate about the picture postcard investment opportunities in Bulgaria (the whole ethos behind this worries the living daylights out of me!), but I had no idea from the pictures that cheap and rubbish refurbishment had already started.

Something needs to be done. I'm all in favour of a law that says you can't buy more than one house at a time. If you have the cash to buy more outright, so be it, you can't be stopped, but more than one mortgage... we are heading for some sort of disaster in the western world, just not sure which one will arrive first.

1. more terroism
2. a succession of incompetent no good politcians
3. increasing financial instability
4. effects of global warming
5. Fossil fuels runing out before an alternative is found
6. War and global chaos

But then the biggest disaster had already befallen us......a lazy and apathetic global population hell bent on self interest and misunderstanding each other.

The truth is that speculators with wads of ready cash will start picking up these " investment" properties by the dozen and before you can blink they have doubled in value, all with the aid of glossy property magazines and estate agents inventiveness. That's it.

I agree with all the other downfalls already mentioned, that must be right at the bottom of the priority list as far as the bulgarian government is concerned.

By the way, are you hunting for properties in that kneck of the woods Plumbers mate?, No protection from the SPAB or CO's over there I am afraid.

As to Penners slashing his wrists, it has nothing to do with this tread, his back must be pretty bad.

In the mean time I have a real weakness for 'pig bits' in a packet. If anyone knows a supplier of organic animal friendly ones - let me know

yes, lets make 50% of all tenants homeless. Great idea.

And lets stop all those evil builders that buy houses, bring them upto sensible modern standards and sell them onto buyers that know nothing and just want an ok house to live in.

I don't think many pigs would feel friendly towards the idea of their bits being put in a packet. Organic or not.
