Building Futures Discussion: This House Believes no Heritage should last for ever,
6th December
Building Futures presents an evening of lively discussion that questions the role of heritage as part of a constantly evolving urban realm. The event is supported by ES Homes and Property Magazine and Macdonald and Company Recruitment.
Britain's cities have benefited hugely from the adaptation of historic buildings to form the basis of wide-ranging cultural regeneration strategies, but the Discussion sets out to explore what is heritage and who is keen to keep it standing or pull it down? How much of our resources should go into preservation in an era of promoting sustainable and efficient new building forms?
The evening features contributions from Rick Mather, founder of Rick Mather Architects and Adam Wilkinson of SAVE Britain's Heritage and is chaired by Philippa Stockley, Deputy Editor of the Evening Standard’s Homes and Property Magazine.
Other high profile speakers to be confirmed.
Free tickets are allocated on a first come first served basis for the event in London EC1 starting 6.30pm for 7:00 pm on 6th December. To book email with full name and address details visit buildingfutures@inst.riba.org
