New SAVE Secretary: Will Palin

Adam has departed to Edinburgh World Heritage Trust, and as the Daily Mail put it:

PS Will Palin, son of globetrotting Monty Python star Michael, is nothing if not sensitive.

Appointed as the new secretary of the charity SAVE Britain's Heritage, which campaigns to rescue historic buildings threatened with demolition, Will, 37, says: "I'm still finding my feet, but it's a great honour to be carrying on the work of my predecessors.

"I am slightly embarrassed about one thing, though. There is a long-standing arrangement for my father to give a fundraising talk on behalf of SAVE.

"It looks a bit odd and I wouldn't want people to think I asked him to do it. I'm happy for him to be involved, but only as long as it doesn't distract from our aims."

Heaven forbid.

I think we all wish him luck in his new role?
