Despite Fred's unwarranted intervention, am I alone in thinking that our "new member" may be taking the pee, to judge by the link on his / her profile?

I found the war letter very moving Freddy, you really do get a sense of the brutality and immediacy of old fashioned warfare. I don't know how they did it, rode up and just slaughtered the enemy. I'd definitely have run away.

I also don't believe our new member has a genuine and respectable interest in this site. If he does, I apologise, but please come forward and state the nature of your enquiry or enquiries about your period property.

This reminds me of that ISIHAC game where completely unrelated words are chosen alternatively but can be challenged if there is a connection, however tenuous. Methinks Penners has played the game before - and won! :lol:
