New lime plaster

Hi we’ve just had some plastering done and we’ve got a crack in one area. We used St Astier Ecomortar as our top coat.

Does anyone know what to try and do to seal before painting?

Definitely don’t seal lime plaster! Depending on the size of crack a quick coat or two of lime wash will “heal” the surface- if it is bigger a lime based filler is available from the usual suspects (Mike Wye, Ty Mawr etc)

Just use a lime based filler, sometimes if the plaster a little too wet it can cause cracks
