When we were clearing our cellar we found a sump at the end water flowed through the most, it would appear to catch the surface water running through rather than be a well, it was only a few feet deep. Again as with the rest of the cellar it had been filled up with rubbish. Upon digging it out Martin gave himself a fright he found a cream colour spherical object and immediately thought it was a skull :shock:
However it did turn out to be an unglazed pottery jug, its lost its handle and top of the neck and is probably a fraction to be to be the same size as a skull11
I however wish I had a camera for Martins face when he found it, suffice to say he lost all of his colour!!
