My victorian terrace

I have a victorian terrace with a tiny kitchen and a breakfast room.
The wall between the two is non-supporting and i would like to knock the wall down to create a kitchen/diner.
How would i go about doing this?

Q1. How do you know its not supporting? People routinely mistake supporting stud walls for non supporting.

i removed my non supporting wall and just had to replace 1 joist that was originally going into the chimney breast ..... the chimney breast above was ofset so no problems there
