My Limecrete is going in!!!

Hi all

Wel, finally, the Limecrete floor is going in. The loose fill base went in months ago but since then we've suffered bad weather and a builder in hospital

Anyway, we started to put in the slab today and have already done the kitchen and half of the lounge. The job will be completed tomorrow Then, it's a case of waiting 3-4 weeks before we can put the screed in with the UFH.

Hi Jaqy,

great news to hear that the floor is coming together as planned.

Over the last few weeks there have been numerous posts on the forum regarding limecrete floors incorporating UFH.

If possible could you provide a breakdown of costings so people can get a real feel for producing a breathing, insulated floor with the comfort of heating?

Rob, I'll get some costings together as soon as I can. I know that there's a distinct lack of information in this area, as I can remember when I first looked into doing a Limecrete floor, so I'll be happy to provide what information I have to help others.
