Mexican clay tiles? sealing?

U have some Mexican clay tiles , they are unfired and very porous.
The floor does not have to be breathable.
Any suggestions for a cheap and easy fix?
The floor is a temporary floor in the temporary bathroom in the temporary carp flat roof extension. :lol:

If it's all temporary, why on earth do you want to fix tiles to the floor? Can't you lay your hands on an old bit of nylon carpet or vinyl flooring, just for the time being?

I'm big on interior design ideas, me.

It would take gallons of linseed oil, literally. Each tile can easily absorb 1 ltr of water.

Penners it's temporary in the sense that temporary usually means permanent for the time being. The floor needs a coat of concrete anyway to fill holes etc so I thought as I already have the tiles in the shed I may as well put them down as well, I will never use them in the cottage.

I very much like Liberon Stone floor sealer, but you would use a lot of it. My extremely porous Ancaster stone floor needed 3 coats - the whole of the biggest can they do, if I remember correctly.

It's basically oil in a carrier to stop the oil going weird.
