Matching Mortar to Fill Holes in Floor

Any suggestions anyone? A client has a stone slab floor (crazy paving!) which has been down probably since about the 1970's (internal). Must be mortared with cement. All of it, floor and mortar is a grey colour. It has some small holes in the mortar joints which I've been asked to fill.

I'm looking for suggestions of mortar mix and how to tint it into the general grey of the aged floor.

One trick I've found helpful with matching stucco color is to mix the cement, sand, lime and some pigment and match the color dry. Wet is totally off, but you can get in the neighborhood of the color if you match them dry. If it is light use white cement and sand and go darker with pigment.

I've found ash and floor sweepings pretty good for tinting mortar.And when the new mortar is going off, use a paintbrush and some dirty water to feather the new into the old pointing.
