My fiancée (subsequently the present Mrs P) and I used to keep my little Shearwater Catamaran at Woolverstone long before it was a marina, (I'm talking about 50 years ago)! We used to do our drinking (and me my folksinging) at the Monk & Compasses in Holbrook, a few miles up the road.

I thought the staff were allowed to retire once they had produced the next generation and trained them up to a suitable standard to serve the lord and master?
