Lump clay construction

I am in the process of looking to purchase a period property which was constructed of Lump clay.

At present I am finding it very hard to find a mortgage lender that will consider such a construction.

Can anybody point me in the direction of known lenders who will consider such a form of construction/

The Ecology Building Society is the obvious choice.

Just tell them that if it catches fire the clay will get fired and make the walls much stronger.

Not much more you can say to these people really.
