Looking for Very Large Wicker Log basket

Hi All

I hope someone on here can help me. In our Lounge we have a wonderful wood burning stove and need a log basket to go with it. The room is quite large and I am unable to find a matching large wicker log basket.

I guess by large I mean around 80cm square by 50cm high.

Any ideas?

We visited some friend of my wife who have a proper Country house down in Devon. The main room was massive and the log basket an old hot air ballon basket.

I've got an excellent basket maker living in a yurt in my field. I'm sure she'd be happy to quote for one. I don't know what it would cost for delivery from West Wales. Biff's son did a weekend course with her a few weeks ago!

Have you checked on her recently? I think the poor thing may be trapped and hoping someone sees her pictures and goes out to rescue her!

Having had a large basket for fire wood in the past, I decided against it for this house, as we found lots of debris comes through the bottom. While asthetically it is very nice to have, it seems quite impratical when you're trying to keep things reasonably clean.

I found a large wooden plant pot made from small blocks of wood which looks good, and had no holes in the bottom, which I now use for storing fire wood in the living room.

I've spent the last few days cutting firewood, but haven't got anything to burn it in at the moment, so no excuse for me to buy one of Jules' baskets yet!
