We're thinking of getting an electric car charger installed at our Grade II listed house. As it's listed I understand we have to apply for planning permission, as well as approval from the conservation team. I'm hoping that the charger could be installed on a (substantial) wooden fence rather than the house itself, awaiting confirmation from the installer that this will be ok.
Interested in feedback from anyone who has been through this process. I generally find our local conservation team helpful and easy to deal with, but knowledge of what has been allowed elsewhere, and any absolute red lines would be useful. I'm also interested in how much the planning permission element costs.
