Please can anyone advise me
We are in the process of buying a grade 2 listed house, We can see that there have been changes to various parts of the property, namely the windows have been repalced with double glazed hardwood top opening (sash window look alikes), there are two Velux windows set into hand made clay tiles on the granery roof and a swimming pool!
We wanted to get the listed building officer to visit the house so that we would know exactly what we were letting ourselves in for, but the vendors are understandably not keen on that idea and have instead offerd to buy an insurance backed indemnity to "protect" us from future costs.
A Good Idea? or what.
