hi i have a victorian house built 1897, im having trouble matching the paper in my hallway under the dado rail. I had to remove a large amount do to damage which was difficult in parts as i had to chip it off and a large amount of plaster followed. The wallpaper pattern looks like berkley classic in anaglypta, i have tried the paper in question on the damaged area but the pattern is smaller and not as raised.........could the paper have been lincrusta... ive been on every website and wallpaper places i can think of.. one person told me it was about time i decorated.. not an option as it is too nice to remove its been up more than 50 years the lady lived there before me hardly touched the house in over 40 years and left most of the features behind. please can some one help

Tink seemed to be asking for help finding a wallpaper which was similar to Berkely Classic Anaglypta, only with a larger and more pronounced pattern. The original may be Lincustra.

Mind you, I really think it would be the only solution, but have no idea how to do it - sorry tink!
(But this forum is crammed full of people who would have a pretty good idea of how, and what with........ We can only hope some of them will emerge from their burrows ere long)

Taking the cast wouldn't be overly difficult, but then creating a moulded paper from that... hmmm. A horse of a different colour. :|

It sounds like it is Lincrusta, We have on several occasions copied various patterns in the past.
dependent on the detail, we take a "Squeeze" using either rubber or plaster and then reproduce quantaties to suit..hope this helps
