Somebody told me (when we were viewing a house) that if limewash is yellow it's because it's damp. Maybe that corner hasn't dried out for some reason? Or the wall behind it is still exuding moisture?Bevmarley said:We have just put our first coat of limewash on the walls and all of it has dried white as it should but one corner has dried a yellow colour. Any ideas why anyone please.
Bevmarley said:It is a wall next to chimney so it may have been smoke. We had the chimney lined last year so hopefully that will stop anymore smoke coming through. We are going to try a couple of coats of lime and see what happens. May have to resort to stain cover if it keeps coming through but luckily it is not a huge stain.
