Limewash application issues dark spots

I have just applied third coat of limes and after 3 days have these darker markings - I initially thought it was still drying but now not so sure.

It only seems to have appeared on one of the walls lime washed, This wall was the most recently plastered with not a large gap left for drying

I burnished after each coat, I wondered if I had over done it. Could it be pigment was come to surface?.

Wondering how I can rectify this so grateful for any suggestions on what has gone wrong.

Burnishing will result in subtle variations of colour - It is one of the principles behind polished Venetian plaster.
You do need to use a stainless steel trowel though. A plain steel one will leave black marks.

When I say burnished I mean went over gently with machine polisher after lime washing when it got to waxy stage, Should have clarified!

Hopefully it's just residual moisture from the plastering. I had one small area like that where the wall had previously been covered in waterproof render, it finally went fully white after nearly a year. Any attempts to re-wash it will just reset the clock!

Hope so the supplier Ingilby said wait too, as plaster is a good 2.5cm thick and itself has not had a long of time to dry especially with recent temperatures
