Limelite plaster?

Hello folks
Wevre in a victorian semi with lime internal walls. We've just had the house rewired and now need to plaster the cable channels (and patch up some other bits of damaged wall).

I've come across a lime based product called Limelite and wondered if anyone has experience of using this... And if so do you recommend it? Is it better to use this vs standard gypsum plaster for this type of gap filling job or does it not massively matter (particularly for internal walls?)

Also, our electrician has done some basic plastering using gypsum to fix switches and sockets to the wall in some places... Is it worth considering digging this out and redoing with lime based, or not worth the bother. This is just small amounts of plaster around the fittings and mostly on internal walls - but not exclusively. (We should have thought of this earlier obviously).

I did read somewhere that the National Trust were using it on one of their properties.
The reason given was that although it wasn't quite as good as traditional lime plaster, it was still considered good enough given the time scale involved using lime.

Can't comment re Limelite but digging out small patches of gypsum plaster to replace it with a lime product seems rather pointless to me. If its sound there would be next to no benefit in replacing it.

I have got a similar issue: the electrician installed new sockets into a room and made a mess of the walls (he wasn't very good and I am not using him again), but I have stopped him filling the holes he created so I have my chance to use the materials I want (as well as install the conduits that he said "are not needed"). I didn't believe I had to use something very peculiare for these (I was planning to use the easyfill 60?), but I am wondering if there are different recommendations

Electricians always make a mess as a rule and never consider it their job to fix. I don't see the point in dubbing out small areas with lime unless you got some to hand, gypsum easyfill is exactly what is says on the bag.

And you don't need to use conduit if you don't want to, even with lime. There's nothing in building code that says you do. The main benefit of it is if ever you needed to pull the cable out the wall for a repair etc but that's assuming the entire length of wire you're pulling is entirely encased in the conduit, watching my electrician his use of the stuff was laughably inconsistent to point I wondered why he was bothering.
