Lime course - Malton, Yorks

'PROTECTING THE FUTURE OF OUR PAST'

Those of whom were able to join the SPAB Yorkshire Regional Group on our
visit to Malton earlier in the year will recall Nigel Copsey's memorable
tour of York House.

Nigel has asked me to remind members of the Group that his first hands-on
practical lime day will take place on the Fitzwilliam Estate in Malton on
Wednesday 25th July 2007. For further information please call 01653 600421.

Nigel writes "The event is designed for specifiers, contractors, craftsmen
and women and all others interested in good practice and the appropriate
conservation of our built environment. Skills will be delivered by
accredited craftsmen experienced in and passionate about the care and repair
of old buildings".

Although this event has not been organised by the SPAB I have no hesitation
in recommending it to members. For those intending to join us at Abbeydale
Hamlet on Sunday 8th July more information will be made available.
