Liberty Roxburgh fabric (one for Joce and like minds?!)

Dear all

We have some curtains from the large bay in one of our bedrooms, which are VGC, made from the Liberty Roxburgh fabric. I am toying with two choices at the moment; I could try to flog them (probably on eBay) or I could try to reuse them.

I don't want to keep them in the bedroom they were in, as this will be ours and I'm not so fond of the print I want it to upset my intended blue theme.

I had thought of putting them into the spare room; however, that has a second window in addition to the bay, and I only have Roxburgh curtains for the bay.

I have tried to find this print on the internet, but Liberty don't seem to do it any more, and I can't even find it in any of the online remnants/discontinued line websites. The only reference I can find was one pair of curtains that sold on eBay not long ago!

So I'm after ideas:
1) Where haven't I looked, that might have them?
2) If I can't get the same, what would you put in the other window?
3) Or should I just not bother, and flog'em?! If so, does anyone have any advicen on selling "pre-loved" curtains?

It's difficult to see the pattern in the pics Catherine, but it looks like it has a soft pink in there- so you could get your extra ones made up in that? Or one of the other colours in the pattern?
But to be honest I think that might make the room somewhat bitty so if you can't think of another spot in the house you might like to think about having some of my baby lemon millefleur sabelpoots when they're born, buying a pretty little Wendy house, painting it pink, and using these lovely curtains for your new darlings - I'm sure your family would approve!
Or Ebay - put a reserve on that you're comfortable with. Someone will pay a good price as they're Liberty. (Unfortunately they won't do for any of my windows as what's remaining apart from the Campaign Room and the Hunting Lodge Dining Room are the huge bays with 9 foot drop - I need three in plain olive silk and three in plain gold - a pity as these do look very nice)
There are second hand curtain shops, one expensive one near my London flat is Changing Curtains on Archway Road http://www.changingcurtains.co.uk/index.html - I bet they'd want to do a huge mark up though, you'd probably be better off selling on Ebay.

Maybe you could consider finding a contrast/ complimentary fabric, undo the Liberty ones and make up the curtains using one of the fabrics in the centre with contrasting edge panels.

Back OT, though, and back to the girliness - I wonder if I could do something along the lines jocelyn suggests. There is a second, much smaller, pair of curtains in the same fabric. Perhaps one could make tie backs out of these, for a pair of contrasting/plain curtains, and then put a pair of contrasting/plain tie backs on the patterned curtains. Something to think on.
