I just thought I would burden you all with my leaking lintel.
We have had some very nice windows fitted and one of the windows which was once upon a time a door but it has been built up to window size, leaks.
It only leaks when it is windy and rain blowing which up here is pretty normal, but we have only noticed it since the windows were fitted. When fitting the windows the joinery firm showed us how rotten the windows were on that side and how damp the plaster was and he hoped with a little pointing on very suspicious joints would cure it.
It didn't so now I get frustrated, The probable outcome being a new lintel.
