Lead work on slate roof around new wood stove flue, is it right?

Hello everyone

First post - Thanks for having me on the forum I've had a wood stove installed and wondered if anyone can let me know if it has been done right where the flue comes out of the roof? Looking at other photos on the net at slate roofs they look different. I've taken some photos. The lead is on top of the slates and sealed with mastic, except at the top where it is under the slates and sealed with mastic.

It’s a little agricultural but I’ve seen worse. What are the photos you think it should look like?

Probably photos with the lead going under the slates at the sides.

bit to much mastic, only time will tell if it leaks, the tiles look more like man made asbestos rather than natural slate

the sides look a bit of a worry, if you need to use mastic on a roof you know you're in trouble.

I don't like the mastic at the top - that seems wrong in principle. Surely the principle of slate roofs is that any water running under a slate runs down the slope and escapes at the next slate down. Yours has been sealed all the way round with mastic - where does the water go? How does it escape?
