I would like to lay quarry tiles to an existing concrete floor which has a plastic membrane it is not a polishedfloor but a fairly rough aggregate. I would like to lay it using lime morter are there any problems, how long should i wet the tiles for.
I didn't wet my tiles when I laid them. Just put down a bed of damp mortar, dry enough to stay where it was put but wet enough that the tiles would bed down into it with reasonable bit of gentle hitting with a rubber mallet.
