Kitchen!

I've almost got a kitchen! It's quite exciting. I wonder if I will be able to remember how to use it! The old table which will make its way into the kitchen shortly with the familiar sight of a toaster, kettle and pinger in the middle room is how we've been living for almost a year and a half. I don't think I'll be doing this again!

reminds me of how we spent years 2-5 in our house as I took kitchen apart and then completed bedroom upstairs before finishing kitchen down!

Thanks for the nice words. We got them from a place called Murdoch Troon (in Louth in Lincolnshire, which seemed a very nice town,) as they seemed affordable and my partner and I found them attractive. They are freestanding and made to fit, but are just a standard range. Slightly harder to fit than normal units as there are no adjustable feet so they need to be planed or wedged to level and because they are solid pine they do distort a bit with humidity changes. We are generally happy, and we think they look nice but one criticism I have is that the ends of the units are made of a number of pine planks glued up. It would be much better if the ends were framed as then they would not distort so much with changing humidity.
