Great big massive hailstones in Staffordshire...... blooming global warming
A few years ago a friend in Maryland (USA) got caught in a hail storm that wrecked some of the panels on his car. It brought the roads to a standstill, with drivers vying to shelter under bridges. He reckoned the hailstones were up to the size of tennis balls, which sounds a bit much to me, but whatever their size they were able to leave small dents all over his car.skier-hughes said:Great big massive hailstones in Staffordshire...... )

Accuracy of weather forecasting:-alice said:July is forecast to be very, very wet in the UK

Exactly the same here in mid-Suffolk. The forecast is always correct nationally, but never anywhere locally.Lime said:I think the weather forecast has been right about 5% of the time over the last few months.
I often watch forecasters showing their maps of the weather now with big clouds over my area when I'm basking in bright sunshine coming through the window.
