Hi there,
We are renovating a georgian cottage which was built around 1780. Unfortunately hardly any of the original features remain and I want the house to be a mix of old and new. I would to find out whether the house would have had internal window shutters originally and I would like some fire surrounds for the bedroom fireplaces. I have had a look on ebay but can't find anything old enough. Can anyone recommend and books to help me with the interiors some of the ones I have found are for grand town houses and this was a blacksmiths cottage. Also does anyone know any good places to get reclaimed fireplaces/original features in or near Yorkshire?
