I need to repaint our parlour as it hasn't been done for years and we are now finding the current colour too dark. It's the middle room in a low ceiling cottage with only two small windows. We want to use it as our hobby room so need to get as much light in as possible without putting in ceiling lights, etc. It's currently in Rose of Jericho distemper and I want to use that again. I can't recall whether the distemper had casein. Does anyone have any advice about Rose of Jericho distemper and which type I should use, and also I want a white-ish colour - any thoughts on which one? The room is rather damp in places. It's all lime plastered and pointed inside and out. The damp is here to stay. Thanks, Vicky
