Hi all-:moved into a 1930 semi in June and with apparent wet walls and high humidity inside, we need to tackle the drainage. For the front were the aco drain is, I was thinking about putting a french drain it. What are the recommended depth? We have a soakaway, but it's not a modern one so not sure if we should connect the french drain into that? It's only one gutter that runs into the aco drain plus the the rainwater from the driveway tilting towards the house.
Lastly: at the back, there is a gutter shooting rainwater onto the ground. In theory there is a gully but utter useless. There is no soakaway here. We were quoted 10-20k for putting in a soakaway so I was put off by that. Is there a way I can get around not having a soakaway in the back? The back has been heavily extended so there's a lot of roof to cover the rain water for.
